We get a lot of questions at Black River Technology and we’re always happy to provide answers. But we thought we’d put some of the most commonly asked ones here in case you have the same question.

Can you service computer hardware from manufacturers like IBM, HP and Dell?

Absolutely! Our support engineers are all certified by the major manufacturers and so have the skills and know how to service any computer hardware that you have.

How can you offer big discounts on computer hardware maintenance services?

Big name manufacturers outsource their hardware maintenance to smaller providers, just like us. When you work directly with us you get the same high quality computer hardware maintenance service without the big name middlemen.

What sort of warranty do I get if I buy refurbished hardware from you?

BRT offers a standard 12 month warranty on all refurbished computer hardware we sell or you take out one of our hardware maintenance contracts. If you already have a hardware maintenance agreement with us, we can include your refurbished computer hardware.

What does refurbished mean?

Refurbished can mean different things to different companies so this is a good question.

To Black River Technology it means that our certified technicians return computer hardware back to the original manufacturers specifications. We replace: gears and rollers, robotic assemblies (in the case of plotters and DLT libraries) as well as any computer parts that are showing wear.

When applicable we also re-paint the equipment with the original paints to return that product to its original “like new” condition.

What if the equipment doesn’t work when I get it?

This has happened once or twice – sometimes due to a problem encountered during shipping. Be assured that your sales rep and our staff of certified technicians are here to help.

What if my equipment was damaged in shipping?

It is possible for damage to occur during shipping/transport so make sure to note any damage on the documentation from the shipping company(pictures of the damage are extremely helpful if this problem should occur) and keep all  the original packaging until you confirm that everything works as expected. If there are any issues contact your sales rep or email the information to experts@blackrivertechnology.com.au and we can take it from there.
